ASTRO and SIGAUS Launch 'Universo SIGAUS' to Optimize Energy Consumption in Spain's Leading Industrial Oil Recycling Network

A Network of More Than 160 Management Companies

Through this agreement, the network of more than 160 used industrial oil management companies collaborating with SIGAUS will be able to leverage ASTRO's technology to monitor and optimize their energy consumption, reduce costs, and decrease emissions associated with their collection, treatment, and recovery operations. The goal is to make an already reference model in circular economy even more efficient, transforming a hazardous waste into new material resources and energy.

Savings of up to 25% in Energy Costs

ASTRO's solution unifies consumption data, contracts, and energy supplies to offer a comprehensive view of energy at each facility, proposing concrete actions to save up to 25% in energy costs and improve operational control. In the context of the SIGAUS network, this AI will identify improvement opportunities in workshops, storage centers, and treatment plants, contributing to more competitive and sustainable management.

Energy Intelligence for the Circular Economy

With Universo SIGAUS, we bring energy intelligence to a key sector for the circular economy in Spain, helping each used oil manager to be more efficient and sustainable in their daily operations,' says Rafael Arrebola, CEO of Astro. 'Our mission is that any company, regardless of its size, can make expert-level energy decisions based on data and AI.

SIGAUS emphasizes that this collaboration is part of their commitment to innovation and continuous improvement of the service they provide to more than 70,000 used oil producing points throughout the territory. The incorporation of advanced energy management tools strengthens the network's capacity to continue guaranteeing efficient collection and treatment, with the lowest possible environmental impact.
